I recently stayed at a great hostel in a safe and quiet location. The staff, including the owner and volunteers, were able to speak English, which was a bonus for me as someone who doesn't speak Portuguese fluently. They were very helpful in assisting me with setting up my Brazil Sim card and providing other information I needed. The room I stayed in had a private bathroom, which was a nice touch. The hostel's location, just a couple of blocks from Paulista Avenue and close to the subway, made it extremely convenient. The common area was clean and welcoming, and the row of 3 bathrooms on the first floor ensured that it never felt crowded. The friendly staff always had great suggestions for places to visit and where to eat. Even though not everyone spoke English, it wasn't an issue, and the cleaning lady was especially sweet and fun to interact with. The manager even managed to find beds for my friends who decided to stay an extra night. The drinks at the bar were cheap, but the highlight for me was the beautiful backyard where I could enjoy my coffee and have breakfast for free. I would definitely recommend this hostel.
I would recommend this hostel.
